Providing non-medical transportation in the Coachella Valley for over 50 years!
In 1972, a group of blind individuals and their friends formed an organization to serve the needs of the elderly and disabled people in the Coachella Valley.
1973 the Desert Blind and Handicapped Association, Inc. became a reality. This organization has answered the Coachella Valley’s non-medical transportation needs for medical appointments, therapy, community center, errands, and much more for over 50 years.
Our Mission is to provide transportation services for adults and seniors who are disabled and cannot drive and provide non-medical transportation.
In October 2020, the organization’s name was changed to Desert Access and Mobility, Inc. Today, our mission and services remain the same: providing non-medical transportation to the visually impaired, adults with a disability, and those who no longer drive. We will take you to medical appointments, senior centers, grocery stores, and other personal appointments and errands.
We aim to help our clients remain independent by providing the necessary transportation.
